American Educational Advanced Earth Science Collection B005QDUQKU

The American Educational 2185 advanced earth science collection is used for geological study, and has 105 rock and mineral specimens for comparing physical properties--including cleavage, fracture, streak, color, and luster--of rock-forming minerals, basic igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks, and selected fossils. The collection also has nine scale-of-hardness specimens for detailed examination. The 2185 is packaged in nine study units for individual use or group learning, and is number-coded and includes a key sheet for identification. The collection has a compartmented tray for display and storage, with specimens measuring 1.0 x 1.0 inches (L x W). (L is the horizontal distance from left to right; W is the horizontal distance from front to back.) The collection has a guide and geologic time chart for instructional use or individual study, and includes a streak plate, magnet, and magnifier for inspecting and testing specimens. Specimens in this collection may vary, based on availability at the time the product is packaged. The 2185 is suitable for grades 5 to 12 and ages 10 to 18.
